Welcome back, my fellow film lovers! For this blog post, I wanted to reflect on one of the most classic, adventurous, and comedic films that the most legendary actors have successfully portrayed as a sequel: Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.
Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle
Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (Summary) –
A group of high schoolers, each with a different lifestyle, from the classic popular girl to the nerd, meet one another during detention. Their principal punishes them by making them organize and clean the basement as a team. One of the high schoolers, Spencer Gilpin, finds an old video game while digging through the old stuff found on the shelves. He saw the game controller, and the old TV screen displayed the Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle video game. He asked the others to join him, and they each chose an avatar from the game. However, the loud drum-thumping sound took over as the TV screen lit up, and each high schooler was captured in the video game. When they each arrived inside the game as they fell from the sky, they returned to the avatar they had chosen to begin with. Soon, as they learn their strengths and weaknesses, they discover that they have to finish the game and survive with only three lifelines to return home.

My Review –
As a massive fan of these incredible actors and actresses, based on their work from previous films, I was extremely excited to hear they would be part of this iconic sequel. While watching this film, I was laughing all the way through, as each of their roles creates a large ball of incredible humor. I had many favorite scenes in this film. Still, my favorite part was when Jack Black played Professor Shelly Oberon as Bethany Walker naturally by presenting the classic widespread teenage girl attitude and personality while physically seen as a man in the video game. For instance, I kept laughing at one specific scene when Bethany was teaching Martha how to be flirtatious to distract the men near the barn, as Jack Black walked with feminine style, making this scene extremely hilarious. This movie was a fantastic watch, and I enjoyed laughing with my family.
Public Review –
Although this film takes a bit of a unique twist to the original film starring Robert Williams, many have enjoyed its adventurous and perfect comedic timing throughout the whole movie. The growth of success of this film came from the iconic actors and actresses, such as Jack Black, who expanded the fantastic humor of the film. Each of these actors and actresses played a unique differentiation between their character from the video game to their movie character, going back and forth between roles flawlessly. The worldwide box office for this film was 961,632,807 million dollars and 404.5 million dollars in the United States. Not only has this film presented terrific humor, but it is also an adventurous and action-packed film that gives the audience a sense of suspense and enjoyment while watching the film.
