Welcome back, my fellow film lovers! Over the years, Disney has created various unique and talented Disney Princesses that have touched the hearts of children and adults. In this blog post, I will discuss one Disney Film that expresses a Disney Princess filled with love, creativity, and talent: Tangled.
Tangled
Tangled (Summary) –
As the King and Queen awaited the arrival of their precious baby girl, the Queen had become very ill. The King sent the guards to recover a magical flower to cure his pregnant wife. However, this magical flower was consistently used by an elderly woman named Mother Gothel because it would make her stay young. Due to the guards taking the only magical flower, Mother Gothel was furious and found her way to the castle to kidnap the Baby Princess named Rapunzel. From that day, Mother Gothel raised Rapunzel as if she were her own daughter and kept her inside a tower far away from the kingdom. On Rapunzel’s 18th birthday, she asked Mother Gothel if she could see the floating lights she would always see from her window every year on her birthday. She was frustrated and angry at her persistent request, making Rapunzel only ask for a specific set of paint as her present that could be found out of the town. While Mother Gothel left, Rapunzel encountered a thief named Flynn Rider, who saw the tower after being chased by two other thieves and the kingdom’s guards and horse for stealing the Princess’s crown. Eventually, Rapunzel and Flynn agreed that Flynn would take her to see the floating lights, and in return, she would give him back the crown she hid from him. Afterward, Rapunzel and Flynn leave the tower and undergo a series of obstacles with the guards of the kingdom, the men from the tavern, and Mother Gothel. They fight together and for each other to finally make their dreams come true.

My Review –
As a major fan of Disney Films, when I first watched this film as a little kid, I immediately fell in love with all of the characters and Rapunzels’ long hair, making it a dream to have long hair similar to hers. Watching this film as I got older, I associated my personality with Rapunzel, for we are both creative, adventurous, kind-hearted, and dreamers. Additionally, I found the effective use of colors throughout the film amusing and captivating because of its way of demonstrating the plot and symbolism. I had many favorite scenes, most of them being the connection between Flynn and Rapunzel. I enjoyed all of the film’s songs but fell in love with “I See The Light,” which is very emotional and charming. The talented actors and actresses brought their characters to life by giving a meaning that not every Disney film has, making this film unique and special to all. This movie was a fantastic watch as I enjoyed the portrayal of all of the characters and its heartwarming storyline of a brave and creative young girl who finds herself and what her dream has meant to her.
Public Review –
Many people, approximately 100% of the nation, have loved and enjoyed every aspect of this film, from the animation, songs, storyline, and characters. As there was an original Grimm Brothers tale about this story, people have compared it to this film by describing it as a more suitable plot for children in a sweet and comedic way. People tremendously enjoyed its representation of the consistent magical feeling original Disney animated films portrayed. Several were starstruck by the saturation and brightness of colors used throughout the film as it focuses on the personality of the characters and significant symbols of the film’s central theme. The worldwide box office for this film was 86.1 million dollars and $48,767,052 in the United States during its first opening weekend. After 14 years since its release, this film is continuously watched by all children and adults, creating great joy.
