A Special Spy Family Has Arrived On Netflix

Welcome back, my fellow film lovers! Recently, Netflix has released spectacular films, including a crime-fighting, comedic, suspenseful, and family-bonded film called Back in Action.

Back in Action (Summary) – 

CIA NOC operatives Matt and his fiance Emily are getting ready to go on a mission to recover a key, which served to be the Industrial Control System for any electronic system, from a Polish KGB agent named Balthazar Gor. As they were getting ready, Emily found out she was pregnant but worried it would interfere with her job and relationship with her fiance, fearing if he will be happy to be a father. Under their boss Chuck’s supervision, they arrived at the location of the key and successfully captured it without getting caught. After completing their mission, Chuck sent out a private jet to send them home. Emily had finally told Matt that she was pregnant, and Matt couldn’t be happier, thinking they might have to leave the “Spy” world. However, their plane was hijacked by one of Gor’s team members, who was trying to get the key back. They fought him off and escaped by keeping their identities hidden to protect their family. Fifteen years later, they are married with their teenage daughter Alice and teenage son Leo, trying to keep their children safe and living a somewhat everyday life. However, a viral video reveals their identities as Alice misbehaves by attending a nightclub, and Emily and Matt fight off the boys surrounding them to let Alice stay. Now Emily and Matt encounter the rush of being spies again to protect their children from their enemies or mercenaries in return for taking back the key for power and control, not knowing where the key has been for the last fifteen years and where it would lead to.

My Review –

As a major fan of spy films and these excellent actors and actresses, I was intrigued and excited when I saw the previews of this film on Netflix. While watching this film, I immediately enjoyed the scene where Emily plays the role of a spy and becomes the mama bear to defend her daughter and teach the boys right and wrong. I have many favorite scenes in which Emily and Matt fight against the mercenaries, pretending they are secret spies in front of their children. The excellent iconic duo of Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz brought this movie to life with their unique and flawless talents and creative acting skills. This movie was a spectacular watch that brought joy and laughter in the comfort of watching at my home. 

Public Review –

Although there are many movies about family spies, this film has been brought to the public’s liking by its unique twist of suspension, which creates incredible action sequences and comedic relief. This film became successful with the touch of three legendary and incredibly talented actors and actresses: Jamie Foxx, Cameron Diaz, and Glenn Close. Within just the first week of the film’s release date, it gained 46.8 million views on Netflix, becoming the number one movie on the global service and in 85 other countries. However, there were some negative comments about the film’s expected plot due to recurring films about family spies, such as Spy Kids. Some were disappointed with the idea that legendary actors and actresses, such as Cameron Diaz, had come back into the acting industry after a long break to make a disastrous film that lacked good characters. Although there was an ongoing discussion between this film’s positive and negative comments, it has entertained many, increasing its economic success to 216 million dollars worldwide. This film thrived in the Netflix industry with the flawless humor of the actors and actresses playing their characters exceptionally well.
